A new story – "The King's Armour-bearer" – is being released by Bible Tales Online. As with most of our work, this story is Bible-based fiction, a story based fairly and squarely on the Bible, with the fiction filling in the parts where the Bible is silent. Be assured, we do our best never to contradict the Bible.
"The King's Armour-bearer" is set in the time of Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah and follows his life and that of a mighty man – the king's armour-bearer. Asa, the king's father, suffers from a disease in his feet which forces him to begin transferring power to his son, but the wrongs of the past may put the kingdom in danger.
Can the new king overcome the failures of his father and open a new chapter of godliness in Judah or will the demands of international diplomacy leave him at the mercy of King Ahab and his terrible queen Jezebel?
